What will be your determining factor in deciding who gets in based on reservations if you are only allowing 75% capacity, and if you don’t make the cut will you be refunded 100%, and how soon will we know? I would like to know, sonic I have to make other plans somewhere else for vacation.
Thank you.
Hi Charley,
After re-reading your question, we realize that we misunderstood your concern. The campground itself does not have a maximum capacity of 75%. A few of our facilities such as the office and camp store will have those types of limitations. Our pool will have a 50% capacity when we first open. Guest can enter the pool area on a first come, first serve basis. We will limit the time to two hours if we are at maximum capacity to allow others to also enjoy the pool. Thank you!
Why can’t the wayerslides in the campground be open.if the pool is. Their is better distancing on slides than at pool. We are literally missing everything fun because we are camping june 7-11th.
Hi Chris … Per the Indiana Covid-19 procedures, Waterparks are not allowed to open until June 14. It also comes down to a staffing issue. We are late training new lifeguards due to social distancing and available places to train. The pool we are able to open because we’re utilizing returning lifeguards who were certified for two years, but we don’t have enough to also open the waterpark. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Just wanted to confirm if the waterslides will be open this year at Lake Rudolph. We are scheduled to camp with grandkids on July 29th, 30th and leaving on 31st?
Hello Patty,
We have a target date of June 14 to open Santa’s SplashDown WaterPark with social distancing restrictions. This date is subject to change. The new water playground, RAINdeer WaterWorks may not be available until a later date due to construction and weather delays. We hope to have this feature open on June 14, but we cannot guarantee an opening date. Thank you.
Hello, first time camper at Lake Rudloph here! Since you aren’t doing the shuttle this year (bummer, as that part really sold me on picking this as our vacation spot), will campers be allowed to walk over to Holiday World from the campground? I’m not familiar with the area so, I’m not sure if there are sidewalks, or even how busy the area is.
Thank you!!
Hello Jess! We’re happy to hear that you’re staying with us for the first time. You are allowed to walk through our walking gate by the shuttle gate. There is a small walking path into the Holiday World parking lot. On the main you’ll see the gate behind the golf car parking near their main lot. Just keep in mind that they will not be running their tram also for the same social distancing reasons so it could be a long walk. Hope this helps!
I have reservations for the 4th weekend . I did not see where I could rent a golf cart . Is this still available? If so how could go about to reserve one ? Thanks so much !
Hi Samantha,
Depending on when you’re staying with us; we should have golf cars available. Just give us a call at 1-888-929-7010 and ask to have one added to your reservation. Thank you.
Will there be golf cart rentals?
Hi Isabelle … Yes! We will have golf cars for rent.
Will the Activity Center still have the craft classes, like tye-dye shirts, painting bird houses, candy bingo, etc.?
Hello Marian,
We will still be offering family activities, although you will see some changes due to social distancing and perhaps the activity we’re able to offer. You can view the calendar at this link: https://www.lakerudolph.com/activities-calendar/. Thank you.
Can you tell me how to make a reservation online when we need to reserve more than 1 cabin and we also would like to rent golf carts .
Hello Wendy,
We have a detailed blog post at this link: https://www.lakerudolph.com/how-to-make-an-online-reservation-with-campspot/. It will walk you through each step of the booking process, including booking multiple sites or rentals. Thank you.
What is the latest that we can change dates or cancel our reservations? With the pool at half capacity, possibly no water slides, no shuttle to holiday world and no splashin safari by the end of June when we are coming, we may need to cancel for this year.
Hello Tracy,
We understand. If you wish to cancel without fees you must call the resort at least 2 days prior to their scheduled arrival date to confirm cancellation. If you do not show for their scheduled stay without confirming cancellation with us, you will be charged in accordance with the our cancellation policy. Thank you.
I don’t see any reference to the accommodations themselves here. What about cleanliness of cabins? Will they be thoroughly cleaned between each guest? Our cabin last year was sub par as far as cleaning goes; seemed to be multiple areas collecting dust and a couple items left in the upstairs loft area that made me wonder how detailed the cleaning is between guests. Hopefully that is not an issue this year because we’d hate to miss out on the Labor Day weekend fun!
Hello Jessica,
We have implemented new cleaning procedures for vacation rentals. We’re sorry to hear that you had a bad experience with the cleanliness of your vacation rental during a past stay. Were you able to notify us right away when you checked in? We always like to know this immediately during your stay so that we may correct the issue or have the chance to make it right. Thank you.
Hello. First timers coming this year. We are super pumped about the trip in mid July. We already are renting a golf cart and with the shuttle down are we able to use our rented golf cart? Thanks
Hello Luke,
We’re very sorry that we won’t be offering shuttle to Holiday World this year. You may drive your rented golf car to the golf car parking area designated on our map. You can plug it in there and then use the walking gate into the Holiday World parking lot. Thank you.
Will the rooms be cleaned any differently after someone checks out? We love coming there
Hello Tammy,
Yes! We have implemented new cleaning procedures for vacation rentals, as well as bathhouses and other facilities. Thank you.
Hi Laura,
In reading the latest updates (5/29/20) is it my understanding that we will only be allowed a maximum amount of time in the pool of two hours a day as it stands today? If this is correct how many days out to our current reservation of June 26th due we have to cancel for a full refund (4 – full service RV sites).
Hello Jon,
We will observe the time limit on if we reach the maximum 50% capacity in the pool at a given time. That amount is 112 people. If we have reached that limit, we will begin a system where we enforce a time limit. We understand the uncertainly of your trip. If you do need to cancel to do so without any fees you must call the resort at least 2 days prior to your scheduled arrival date to confirm cancellation. If you just fail to show for your scheduled stay without confirming cancellation with the resort, you would be charged in accordance to our cancellation policy. I hope this help! Thank you.
Hi! This will be my families first trip here, I am currently pregnant however and will be 35 weeks when we are there. I notice that the Xmas cabins are away from the pool and activity center. Could you give me an idea on about how far it is walking distance or if we are able to drive the car up there from our cabin. I am trying to decide if renting a golf cart is necessary for me or not.
Hello Payton! We’re happy to hear that you’ll be joining us for the first time. You are allowed to drive you vehicle to the pool area. There is a large parking lot right in front of the SplashDown Bathhouse where you may park. Thank you!
Definitely rent a golf car! I went last year when I was super pregnant and there’s no way I would have wanted to make that hike, especially in the heat. Plus, it seems like nearly everyone rents a golf car, so I wouldn’t really recommend walking since the roadways can get pretty busy when they are at full capacity. Plus, golf cars are so much fun, especially with the parades!!
Will the lighted golf cart parade be happening this year?
Hello Deana,
It will. Please check out activity calendar for the days we will host the golf car parade. Calendar: https://www.lakerudolph.com/activities-calendar/. Thanks!
I am interested in coming on July 3rd and renting a holiday cottage. On the online registration I am allowed to book it for 2 nights, July 3rd and 4th. Am I correct in that I can only book for 2 nights that weekend? Thanks!
Hello Heather,
I believe we got to this on Facebook, but yes, if it allows you to online you may book. 🙂
