Camp in Comfort

One of our travel writers wrote a lovely poem about her stay with us. Thought you might enjoy it too. Thank you for letting us share it Connie!

‘Twas six months before Christmas and all through the campground
We swam and we fished and played on the playground
At night we snuggled all comfy in bed
In a rather nice cabin, not the tent that I dread

Our-cabin-exterior-2-300x176One morning we woke to the sound of Ho! Ho! Ho!
And knew in a moment that off we must go
To the pavilion to hear the story retold
Of that Christmas Eve in times of old

Santa chose children to play all of the parts
Ma, the children, the man dear to our hearts
His version of the story drew much laughter
Then Santa stayed to answer questions after

Children asked how he can move so fast
Christmas Eve night doesn’t long last
Yet he visits children the world around
And all the while doesn’t make a sound

Santa answered more question from girls and boys
Including how can he possibly afford all those toys
And then we were off to continue our day
At Lake Rudolph where all day long we would play

Warm Fuzzies

One of the greatest things about tourism is the warm fuzzy feeling you get when a guest has a great stay. When you did your part and made their stay enjoyable. You know … that above and beyond factor. Here are a few “warm fuzzies” from our guests …

“The only thing that would have made it more enjoyable was to be able to stay longer than we did.”
– Tami in Freesburg, Illinois.

“Lake Rudolph is an EXCELLENT campground! It is very clean and well kept. We have been going there for years. The HalloWeekends are just awesome! We have so much fun; keep up the good work!”
– Susan in Lexington, Indiana.

“The trip this past May was excellent. The people working at the park and all of the surroundings and activities are EXCELLENT! We plan on coming a couple more times this year and we are definitely telling our friends about the campgrounds.”
– Mark in Shiloh, Illinois.

“Where do I begin. Lake Rudolph is the best RV park to stay in hands down. I have been coming for years and live 5 hours away. The staff are friendly, everything is clean and maintained and the continuing upgrades every year are AMAZING. The only complaint I have is that I live too far away. Where else could you go and find the family focused atmosphere present at Lake Rudolph and Holiday World? Family friendly, priced right, attentive staff, good movies at the pavilion and all kinds of activities for everyone. Thanks everyone for making Lake Rudolph so much fun every year. Security staff are wonderful and friendly too!!”
– Steve in Westerville, Ohio.

A huge thank you to all our wonderful guests. We’re looking forward to creating more memories this year! To read more comments from our guests or to make reservations, you may visit our homepage.

The Fuller’s Fall Fun

The Fuller Family visited us a few weekends ago during their fall break. They posted some cute pictures on their blog and gave me permission to share.

I think this must be what happens to your teeth after all that candy. Its no wonder dentists like Halloween!

We’ll be back … trying for 1st Place!

This morning we got a lovely thank you note from a family that won 2nd place in our site decorating contest. They visited us during week 5 of our HalloWeekends. Their site featured a very creepy cemetery with lots of live characters. Good stuff … you get bonus points for live characters.

Their note read:

Thanks for such a great weekend of camping. Even though the weather wasn’t very cooperative, we had a great time.

Thanks to the judges for awarding us 2nd place in the site decorating contest. We’ve been trying for one of those signs for several years!

Also, thank you for the $75 gift card. We are planning on a pizza and ice cream party next year. Don’t forget the Byers family … we will be back trying for 1st place!

– The Don and Gayla Byers Family

Byers Family … we’ll see you next year. And we can’t wait to see what you have in store for us!
