Remember how we said this season was going to be a learning experience regarding our Covid-19 procedures? It hasn’t been a walk in the park that’s for sure … unless the park is of the Jurassic variety. 😉
It has been difficult for us to implement new procedures to keep our guests and team members safe, all while trying to keep the amenities you love open. Especially during a time when not many other pools or water parks are open just yet. This means you’re going to need to have patience with us. We understand you’re frustrated. Procedures are put in place … and then could change. And maybe change again.
We wanted to take the time to bullet point how our procedure for Blitzen Bay Pool is currently working and answer a few questions we’ve been getting.
Blitzen Bay Pool Slot Times:
- To sign up for a pool slot you must arrive 15 minutes prior to the beginning of the time slot. Example: To sign up for the 10 am slot, please arrive by 9:45 am CT.
- You may sign up for any time slot that day.
- You are allowed to initially sign up for one pool slot only!
- After that you may come at the beginning of another time slot and if it is NOT FULL, we would then allow you to sign up again.
- You cannot sign up the day in advance (Ex: the day before arrival)

This should be on the front of website. Would’ve been nice to know before we booked there for 4 days.
Hi Stacy … We apologize. This is a new policy that has been implemented as we have reached capacity in our pool. We apologize for the inconvenience, but have to follow state rules and mandates regarding physical distancing and Covid-19 guidelines.
What about the people that are checking in at 3pm? We go swimming there Friday evening and the next two day we are at holiday world. How will we be able to sign up if everyone already there gets first dibs due to mandated check in time?
Hi Brittney … When checking in we could recommend going down to the pool to see if the time slots are full for the day. If they are not, you may then sign up for one. To be clear, these time slots are only implemented if we reach capacity.
Can we call to sign up for a time slot for the day we check in?
Hello Courtney … We’re sorry, but someone from your party would need to sign up in person at the pool.
Does this only apply if you reach the max? And what if you are not there to pick a time slot we check in this Saturday at 3 so we can’t be there at that time to get a slot
Hi Candy … Yes, the time slots are only in place once we reach maximum capacity which is 112 guests. You can pick a slot any time during the day prior to the closing slot.
If the tone slots aren’t full can you cone in and swim
Hello Stacy … Yes, if the slots are not full you may come at any time.
How many people per time slot?
Hi Kathryn … 112 people are allowed per slot.
Have the pool time slots been filling up regularly early in the week on Mondays and Tuesdays for the most part or is it usually just busy/full during the weekend?
Hi Mel,
If has been especially busy on weekends; however, we have also reached capacity on many weekdays as well. I would plan for the time slot procedure to be in place on a Monday and Tuesday.
