Lately we’ve been working on resizing item photos for the Santa Claus Christmas Store online webstore. It is a long spreadsheet with a lot of UPC codes.
When I came across this item photo I just couldn’t resist sharing. This little guy isn’t working very hard to help re-size any images … he’s just monkeying around. 
Dave, our Marketing Director, is on his way to Indianapolis for the Boat, Sport & Travel Show. It’s the 56th annual show.
The show will run from today, February 19 through Sunday, February 28. The locale is the Farm Bureau Building at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

Yes we are located in Santa Claus, Indiana, and Christmas should be our favorite holiday. And it is, but following in close second is Halloween. Partly because of our Halloween themed weekends. And partly because Rudy loves all that Halloween candy.
So if you haven’t already made reservations for HalloWeekends this year, here are the dates and the information:

HalloWeekend activities include campsite decorating, costume contest, haunted hayrides, pumpkin decorating, Mummy (and Daddy) bingo, bonfire ghost stories and other frighteningly fun events.
Rudy is already planning his Halloween costume. He has it narrowed down to a few choices. Don’t worry, you’ll be among the first to know his costume and the theme for this year’s HalloWeekends!

This week, even amid the snowstorm, our county visitors bureau hosted a series of focus groups. Basically short sessions with the attractions and lodging in our area to gather their thoughts and ideas on the future direction of tourism. A good plan right?
Thinking along those lines we thought it would be good to gather your suggestions as well.

Something super is taking place. Super as in Super King RV Rentals!
This year we have replaced some of our older Standard RV rentals with Super Kings! There will be 12 new Super King RVs for you and your family to enjoy.
Now … if you’ve stayed in our regular King RVs here are the differences:

The Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort and Santa Claus Christmas Store job fair is this Saturday, February 6!
The job fair will take place at the Santa Claus American Legion (located on Highway 245) from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 Noon. Remember … that’s Central Standard Time.
Lake Rudolph Seasonal Positions:

There will be representatives from both Lake Rudolph and the Christmas Store to answer any questions. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age, with some positions requiring applicants to be older.
Hope we’ll see you there!
And if you can’t make the job fair you can go online, print an application, complete it and bring it by the Lake Rudolph office. Or drop it in the mail!
Now that the basement of the new office is poured the guys are moving onto digging, measuring, and pouring more concrete.
Phase two of the construction brought more snow which mixed with the mud, but it doesn’t seem to hinder ‘em. I’m sure they’re used to it.
Me on the other hand … my fingers got cold just taking photos of their progress. And I tracked muddy snow back into the office.
